Recently, VP.Start participated in a workshop with Électricité du Laos (EDL) and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) to support the pilot implementation of VP.Start’s SIMA Smart Grid Technology for the digital modernization of Laos’s electricity distribution network.

The workshop aimed to facilitate technical discussions and knowledge sharing between VP.Start and EDL on key technical requirements before installing and connecting DRC IoT Devices to existing electrical equipment. This step lays an important foundation for ensuring the effective implementation of the digital modernization project while addressing the practical needs of the electricity distribution network.

The deployment of SIMA Smart Grid Technology will help address challenges in electricity distribution networks, including reducing energy losses, lowering operational costs, and improving network monitoring and management during faults or temporary power interruptions.

Furthermore, SIMA Smart Grid Technology has the potential to support the integration of renewable energy into the electricity grid, enhancing operational efficiency, grid stability, and the sustainability of power supply.

This marks another step in VP.Start’s journey to bring innovative technologies developed by Cambodian engineers to contribute to electricity grid modernization across the region and on the international stage.
