VP.Start Expands Smart Street Lighting with SCD-001 Controllers in Kampong Cham as Part of Smart City Initiative

A team of expert engineers of VP.Start has installed the SCD-001 controllers to upgrade the existing street lighting infrastructure into a digital smart street lighting system in Cheung Prey District, Kampong Cham Province.

VP.Start’s Smart City solution for streetlight management addresses the critical challenges of conventional street lighting systems. This state-of-the-art solution significantly reduces operational costs by eliminating the need for on-site personnel to manually switch lights on or off or inspect their status. With the NiteLite System or NiteLite for smartphone, operators can now remotely monitor and manage streetlights in real time. This innovative system automatically detects and reports abnormalities such as lights operating during daytime, energy leakage, short circuits, or unauthorized usage—helping to significantly reduce energy waste and enhance system reliability.

A key innovation of VP.Start is its ability to upgrade the existing street lighting infrastructures to be smart without replacing it entirely, resulting in substantial savings on modernization investments.

Currently, our Smart City Initiative for street light management is already in operation in Ta Khmao City and has now expanded into Kampong Cham Province, showcasing the growing footprint of our innovative technology across Cambodia.
