What is regarded as a sustainable smart city?

What are the key challenges of developing digital infrastructure in a smart city?

As we know, a sustainable city is a green or eco-city designed to minimize environmental impact while ensuring economic viability and social equity for current and future generations.

We also notice that a smart city cannot exist if the electricity remains unreliable. At VP.Start, we prioritize two main things: keeping the electricity more reliable and managing it efficiently while involving the goal of reducing carbon emissions through maintaining the energy efficiency, and delivering significant return on investment for users after a short time of use.

We see that most challenges of smart city development are associated with high costs of investment and multiple system controls, which make it hard to invest and manage data from various sources such as data from street lights, camera security, trash, transportation systems, weather stations, etc.

The real challenge is about the lack of clarity regarding how to manage that data and how we can harness that big data for a centralized dashboard that offers a unified, real-time view of the city; how we can transform that raw data into actionable insights that enable to reduce waste, predict risks, enhance decision-making, and ultimately generate a measurable return on investment.

These are the challenges we at VP.Start have been addressed over the past 10 years. These are the bold vision of the SIMA Journey.
