VP.Start Launches Initatives To Enhance Community Pedagogy

Today, VP.Start visited a pre-school located at Prek Dambong Commune, Kandal Province to kick-start; "Objectives For Enhancing Pedagogy (OEP) program.

This program has been created to not only give back and share our successes with our communities but is particularly focused on providing underprivileged schools, teachers, and Khmer pupils an opportunity to enjoy a higher quality of education through our charitable program. 

The first leg of this program named; "OEP -1" is focused on our CEO & Founder, Phoeurn Phally's alma matter; Wat Thmey Primary School and Wat Chas Primary/Secondary School. Our intention is for these two schools to serve as models for superior twenty-first-century learning centers in due time. 

As such, we were provided some basic school supplies which included pencils, pens, notebooks, and school bags. Similarly, some supplies were also donated to the school's faculty such as new chairs, tables, art supplies, pantry supplies, etc. 

Additionally, in light of COVID-19, two handwashing stations were also donated as it has become ever so necessary to practice sanitation and keep our future generations safe. Wat Thmey Primary School received a printer allowing teachers to share many more exciting activities and exercises with their students. Retired and current teachers were presented with gifts of gratitude for their dedication and service.

Lastly, at Wat Thmey Primary School, over 70 sq meters of beautiful flows and 15 large shade trees were also planted to uplift the natural environment surrounding the schools and make it more favorable for studying. 

OEP-1 is just the beginning of a long relationship between VP.Start and Cambodian schools. We would like to thank H.E., Mok Kom Pul District Chief Counsel Oung Kimleang, Mok Kom Pul District Chief Tong Sivmy, Prek Dam Bang Commune Chief Khun Sokhem, as well as the many community members, nurses, and security who attended today to encourage to 976 students present to do their best and study hard. Together we can make a positive impact on our future generations! VP.Start will always be an advocate for better education in Cambodia.

After OEP-1, the VP.Start team went to Wat Thmey to visit the Monks and other people who live at the Pagoda. We were delighted to share some food, supplies, and other gifts with everyone there. VP.Start heartily supports the teachings of The Buddha and encourages one and all to help your neighbor. The time spent at the Pagoda was appreciated by the entire VP.Start team.
