Principal Role and Responsibilities
Design and Development
Design and develop multi-layer
PCB layouts for various electronic products and systems
Create schematic diagrams and select appropriate components based on design requirements
Perform circuit simulations and analysis to validate design concepts
Develop board stackup configurations and layer assignments for optimal signal integrity
Design power distribution networks and ensure proper power integrity
Conduct signal integrity analysis, including impedance control, crosstalk, and EMI/EMC considerations
Perform thermal analysis and implement heat dissipation solutions
Execute design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) reviews
Analyze and resolve design issues related to electrical performance, manufacturability, and reliability
Develop test plans and procedures for prototype validation
Debug and troubleshoot hardware issues during development and production phases
Conduct board bring-up and verification testing
Collaborate with test engineering teams to ensure product quality
Documentation and Collaboration
Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and design notes
Work closely with mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration of PCBs within product enclosures
Collaborate with firmware and software teams to ensure hardware-software compatibility
Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to team members
Interface with contract manufacturers and component vendors
Qualifications
Education and Technical Skill
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
Proficiency in using electronic instruments [AMM/DMM, Function
Generator, Oscilloscope, CNC, ect].
Proficiency in PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence OrCAD, KiCad, AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar EDA software
Proficiency in SPICE simulation tools (LTspice, PSPICE, or similar)
Proven track record of successfully delivering PCB designs from concept to production
Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
Knowledge of high-speed digital design techniques and signal integrity concepts
Familiarity with industry standards (IPC-2221, IPC-6012, UL, FCC, CE)
Understanding of component selection, including passive and active components
Knowledge of power electronics and switch-mode power supply design
Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller interfaces
Understanding of design for reliability and environmental testing requirements (IEC, EN)
Experience with multi-layer PCB design (4+ layers)
Experience with RF/microwave circuit design
Experience with FPGA/CPLD integration
Experience with flex and rigid-flex PCB designs
Better at problem-solving and troubleshooting skills [Electricity or Electronic Circuit].
Better at understanding general maintenance procedures and techniques.
Better at soldering components [SMD & Through Hole].
A minimum 1 year of experience in repairing electronic devices.
A minimum 1 year of experience in PCB design and hardware development
