DRS Presentation for EDC Takeo

On February 6, 2025, the expert engineers of VP.Start conducted another presentation for management and electrical engineers at Electricity of Takeo, aiming to showcase the advanced metering management system (DRS). This presentation was a crucial step in highlighting the locally-developed technology that addressed key challenges, leading to the creation of cutting-edge technology that is unique in the market.
Transforming existing energy meters into smart meters is not the challenge; however, integrating multiple brands of energy meters into a single operational system is a rare achievement. VP.Start has successfully developed integration technologies over the past decade. For example, a Landis +Gyr meter was integrated with a smart grid IoT device, the DRC-004G, and an EDMI meter was integrated with the DRC-012G. The data collected from these two meters has been seamlessly transmitted to the DRS.

DRS provides significant benefits for managing energy meters digitally, including monitoring the status of every on-site meter to determine whether they are functioning or in error. It receives crucial data from the energy meters, such as current, voltage, active power, reactive power, and graphs showing over-contracted consumption of every consumer. DRS also delivers instant alarms when abnormalities occur, such as source absence, loss of phase, low current warnings, maintenance communication, and door opening. Additionally, DRS provides other important information related to phase unbalancing, voltage drops, and more.

DRS not only provides fast and accurate data from the energy meters, but also enhances management quality, reduces energy losses, and helps energy providers save more revenue.
